Small actions can bring huge changes
I feel like SOOO much has happened in these last few weeks! It’s been a rich and exciting time. From podcast interviews and photoshoots, to hosting wellbeing workshops for businesses and psychedelic breathwork!
Firstly, to celebrate 1 YEAR of my weekly online breathwork sessions, I am hosting a special giveaway! You can win a free 90-minute breathwork + coaching session with me 💥
Just pop over to Instagram and check out this post on the super simple way to enter (the competition finishes this Sunday 19th Dec, so GO GO GO!) I’m so excited to offer this giveaway! Huge thanks to everyone that’s joined my weekly Wednesday breathwork sessions 😘 whether you’ve been to one session or 30 sessions! They’re a highlight of my week!
Secondly, I just want to recognise how awesome humans are. I recently took part in the monthly Manchester Psychedelic Society MeetUp. I held a breathwork session for 18 people followed by an Integration Circle for folks to come and share – in confidence – about their experiences. It was a deeply profound evening. Honestly, the more I connect with other humans, the more I realise the importance of not paying attention to the news or divisive narratives. In my experience, nearly everyone is *utterly* lovely. They’re all trying their best to make sense of life. They want to find meaning. And to live in peace and be happy. They want that for other humans too. As the British mathematician and philosopher, Bertrand Russell, famously once said: “Remember your humanity, forget the rest.”
So here’s 5 snippets – from my humanity to yours – inspired by coaching, meditation and breathwork.
1. Song of the week
Three Deep Singing Monks (Listen on Spotify; I can’t find the exact one on YouTube but this one gives you a good idea!)
I find these low vibration sounds deeply hypnotic and grounding to listen to. Isn’t the human body AMAZING! I feel so inspired to learn more about these techniques and traditions. How low can you go?? *startles cat by attempting throat singing*
2. Quote of the week
“We don’t have to engage in grand, heroic actions to participate in the process of change. Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.” ― Howard Zinn
What if changing the world looked like: breathing more deeply, slowing down, doing less, meditating, believing in yourself, being kind to yourself, developing boundaries, journalling about what’s on your mind, speaking your truth with a smile, more time in nature, expressing your emotions, drinking plenty of water… You get the idea! If you want to change the world, focus on you first. It’s not selfish – it’s the most loving and courageous thing you can do. I promise! AND! You deserve to focus on you 👍 🙌 These may seem somewhat flimsy suggestions in the face of rather epic challenges. But they’re all ways in which we can exercise CONSCIOUS responses. Rather than find ourselves under-resourced, overextended and thus in a state of reactivity.
This is also the greatest gift to others around us: to embody self worth and self respect.
3. Practice of the week
Cold showers! Having been cold water swimming since February this year, I’m upping my cold shower stakes. I’m aiming for daily 5-minute cold showers and GEEZ! That is the longest 5 minutes of my life! If you’re curious about the health benefits of cold water, apparently just 11 minutes per week – across 2-3 sessions – in uncomfortably cold water is the ideal threshold to accessing all the health benefits. Check out more on breathwork, cold water and the immune system by the excellent HubermanLab podcast. Again, your body is AMAZING! Learning more about the immune system – especially at a time like this – is super empowering.
4. Article of the week
How to deal with Christmas triggers!
Are you keen to preserve your sanity over the holiday season? Me too! Check out my latest blog post on how to manage emotional triggers. Learn how to avoid sliding into your childhood/teenage patterns of behaviour when spending time with your family. You may find the journalling prompts helpful. This is based on a virtual retreat I am hosting with Briana Pharos, part two of which is this Sunday 19th December, where we’re covering how to honour your inner child desires this holiday season. I’ll share more next week!
5. Client win of the week
“Buckle up, my love, you’re in for a ride!”
A client cackled with delight, as she shared the words her Higher Self said during a guided visualisation I led her through. What’s your “Higher Self”, you may be wondering? Imagine the most awesome, powerful, bad-ass, loving, healthy, vibrant, strong and wise version of YOU. And if you met them, and you needed their advice, consider what they’d say to you. This is a powerful way to dip into your psyche and use your imagination to explore fresh perspectives. It’s a bit like “What Would Jesus Do?” except you, er… um, are Jesus…?!! (I’m Rob Burgundy?) No no, your higher level self is the focus here… Reach out and touch Faith! Your own personal Jesu… NO NO I am not saying that (my mind is really loving being extra cheeky today, sorry about that…!)
That said, the world is opening up for my clients! I love how brave they are! I see how exciting the future is for them, and it fills my heart with joy. It also fuels my excitement for the future too. Buckle up INDEED!

That’s it! Speak to you next week, lovely people!
Big love,
