Where did I do my breathwork training?

I am a qualified and insured Integrative Breathwork practitioner, taught by the esteemed teachers Steph Magenta and Dr Rae Riedel. I completed my 7-month training course in September 2020. Mentor for Integrative Breathwork facilitator training November 2020 until May 2022. And then working with Keli Carpenter in her More Than A Breathwork Training as an assistant trainer from September 2022.

Transformation Through Breathwork

I offer private breathwork sessions, blending my skills as a qualified mindset coach and trauma-informed breathwork facilitator. It’s my honour to guide people through a powerful personal transformation process. The coaching element works with the conscious mind and the breathwork part works with the subconscious mind, using a “whole brained” approach.

You and I will work together to outline your intentions before we start, so we’re clear on what areas of your life you wish to explore. We will work with whatever is coming up in your life to be transformed. Whether that’s in your career, relationships, health, finances, etc. Be empowered to take charge of your own wellbeing, personal healing and transformation.

The Transformation Through Breathwork package involves bespoke one-to-one sessions, comprised of 1 hour of coaching and then 1 hour of in-depth breathwork. This includes guidance and intention specifically tailored to your journey. I also provided support between sessions and “Soul Work” in between, empowering you to carry out your own self-enquiry work.

WHAT IS BREATHWORK?


Breathwork is a practice where we bring conscious attention to what is a subconscious action: breathing!

Breathing is with us from our first moment in life until our last. And our ability to consciously work with the breath – the pace, depth and direction/movement – has so many benefits.

For example, breathwork supports mental clarity, emotional regulation and psychological and physiological healing. How is this so? Our modern lives frequently over-stimulate us, meaning that our sympathetic nervous system is often activated into ‘fight, flight or freeze’ mode.

Our survival response can perceive a threat in things as minor as a terse email from the boss, or a brief encounter with a driver filled with road rage. Without learning to be self-aware of our thoughts and emotions, we end up flooded with hormones that create a significant imbalance to our body’s system. It’s something we see around us all the time: people off-balance and in habitual states of stress and fear-based reactivity. Over time, our mental health suffers, along with the erosion of our physical health.

Breathwork is one of the most potent ways we can bring balance back to the body and mind.

I have found it to be an incredible tool that’s facilitated a lot of healing in my own life. Breathwork has helped me to develop a deeper awareness of my emotional state and process a lot of suppressed trauma.

Scientific research is now validating much of what has been observed within different healing communities about the effectiveness of breathwork in terms of physiological and psychological healing. In fact, the 2019 Nobel Prize for medicine was awarded for the discovery of how cells sense oxygen.

Breathwork is a mind-body practice that has a broad range physical and emotional benefits. A breathwork session can directly ease or facilitate beneficial shifts for experiences such as:
